Box Office Policies & Discounts
Ticket Processing Fee Structure Effective July 1, 2011:
The Palace Theater has the following Box Office Processing Structure for Single Ticket Purchases. A processing fee is added to all ticket sales. Fees are utilized to offset the increasing expenses and technology to support automated ticket sales.
Per Ticket Fee – at the window, on the phone, and on line varies (minimum $4.00)
Per Order Fee – at the window, on the phone and on line is $5.00
The Group Sales Order fee is now $10.00
Ticket Refunds: Once your order has been processed, no refunds or exchanges will be accepted. Please make sure you’ve selected the proper event time, venue, and seat locations (when applicable) prior to completing your order. We are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. If an event is cancelled we will refund the price of the ticket only. Service fees, processing fees, and any other fees – including delivery fees – are not refundable.
Lost Tickets: Lost tickets can be re-printed at the box office day of event, with valid ID, for a $2.00 per ticket processing fee.
Box Office Discounts
The Palace Theater Box Office offers a variety of standard ticket discounts that are available to patrons on a daily basis. Please note that these discounts cannot be combined with other offers and are not valid on previous purchases. Some restrictions may apply, and based on the rules of each individual production's management team, these discounts may not be available on all performances.
Group Discount:
Groups of 20 or more enjoy specially discounted ticket prices (10% minimum discount) and receive personal attention by our group sales coordinator, who will assist in making sure your party is treated like royalty. As an added bonus, the group leader attends FREE! Call 203-346-2002 for more information or to plan your next group outing!
Senior Discount:
Seniors, ages 55+, who purchase tickets in person at the Box Office on Fridays between 10:00am - 2:00pm, receive a 20% discount forcertain performances. This discount may not be available for all performances and some restrictions may apply . Please call ahead for senior discount details on any specific performance. Seniors must present a valid ID at the point of purchase to receive the discount.
Student Discount:
Students who present a valid school ID when buying tickets in person at the Box Office may receive discounts for certain performances. Some restrictions apply and discounts may only apply to certain seating sections. Call 203-346-2000 for details.
Student Rush Tickets:
Available for most Broadway shows and some mainstage presentations, 50% off student rush tickets can be purchased one hour before curtain at the Box Office on the day of a performance. Students must present a valid school ID at the point of sale. Discounts may only apply to certain seating sections (upper mezzanine) and some restrictions may apply. Call 203-346-2000 for details.
Affinity Discount:
Did you know that City of Waterbury employees, as well as members of UCONN's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and employees of our various corporate member and sponsor companies can receive a 10% Affinity Discount on many different performances at the Palace Theater? When purchasing tickets by phone or in person at the Box Office, mention to your representative BEFORE the point of sale, that you are an employee of one of our participating Affinity Program organizations and ask whether the performance qualifies for your discount.
